TWO BASSES

A rare combination of bass guitars as the main instruments with the accompaniment of drums is a band called Two Basses. They create an interesting musical dialog which often ends up on ends of the fingerboards. In the “Two Bases” met two musicians whose collaboration experience and capability of interpretations is very wide.

It all reflects in their music. It can hardly be put in a box of a particular genre. They don´t really follow the rules of rhythms or the original use of the instruments. You´d find a number of very melodic places, playing with motives and music feels. Music moves from meditative sounds to explosions of rhythm filled encounters of the two instruments.

All of this is filled with an atmosphere of musicianship gained with experience.

The trio collaborates with a few guests. A singer with a unique soprano voice Anna Amanatidu, a keyboard player Miroslav Novotny or a flute player Marta Talabova. All these guests have enriched their released recordings. Even at some of their concerts these guests take part. Spontaneity of all the musicians and their capability of communication with the audience can experience anyone to come to their life concert
