Alexander Shonert graduated at Novosibirsk State Conservatoire named by M. I. Glinka (class of professor A. V. Gvozdev). He achieved PhD there lately and he is laureate of plenty international awards.
He is gifted musician with outstanding improvisation skills and never ending resources of energy and ideas.
Alexander has lived and worked in Prague since 1999. In 2010, he granted permission of double citizenship –
He is used to perform around all Europe as soloist as well as accompanied by philharmonic or chamber orchestras.
His brilliant debut in USA was held in 2005.
Alexander is highly appreciated by reviews and critics thanks his glamorous virtuousity, deep emotional involvement and distinguished personal attitude tending to improvisation.
Czech television prepared, as tribute for him in 2008, document called “Life story of genius violin player”.
Alexander Shonert represents
Beside his regular concert performances he works as violin teacher. He is the author of special methodology based on best traditions of Russian violin school.
His pupils play in philharmonic orchestras all around Europe, USA and Russia and they are pretty successful in international violin competitions.
